All the people are gathering for festivus happenings Children make forts in the meadow with snow O, the joyous communities singing songs beautifully Dreaming of winters from long, long ago Yuletide wishes and feelings of cheer O, the holidays are near! Outdoors icicles grow with each dusting of snow While cedar spews vaporous breath from the flues Inside drink starts a tricklin', each candle is glistening Scenes that will last us the whole winter through Holiday greetings and happy new years O, the holidays are near!

Wintertime is back in the grande north Every lane is glistening and swingin' And every smile rings in the new day And all our problems seem to float away! The season of giving is here The most wonderful time of the year! The feeling grows It's time to let one another know We're in this together for worse or for better In all the nurturing ways We can be here for each other today We are one! Bells are ringing out through the cold air Festive homes hang mistletoe and holly Folx will gather in old and in new ways And everyone can celebrate better days! The feeling grows Let's let one another know We're in this together In all the nurturing ways We're here for each other today We are one! Ooh feeling grows Let's let one another know We're in this together In all the nurturing ways We can be here for each other today We are one!

about

On a placid Christmas Eve-Eve some seven years ago, a new wintertime tradition was sparked when Max took to the only quiet room in his family’s house to record an intimate rendition of Welcome Christmas from Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. From the initial effort, the tradition has earned more pizzaz and character with each passing year thanks to collaboration with fellow lover of yule Joel Matthew Gray.

In light of their mutual love of the holidays they have assembled an evening’s worth of beloved music including two original songs: a funky, blue-eyed soul, 2020 anthem of unity, Wintertime is Back!, and the Tin-Pan-Alley-inspired throwback waltz, O, the Holidays are Near!

This time of year has always held a special place in the lives of Max and Joel, and their intention has always been to try to share the utter joy they feel with others, regardless of how and what others celebrate. We hope you will enjoy listening through the musical journey upon which we have embarked over the years with many great friends, and will find a place for it in your yearly traditions.

Happy Holidays!
